Abstract

Measurements of the time-variant impulse response in underwater acoustic channels were carried out in the Oslofjord area close to Horten. The channels ranged from nearly static to highly dynamic, and at some occasions overspread channels were encountered. The question is raised whether any properties of such overspread channels can be measured correctly.
