The Nano-Photonics group focuses on the electro-optical studies of nano-structures and devices and spatial resolution at both low (2 K) and room temperature. The Nano-Photonics group is currently carrying out several projects including the study of various semiconductor heterostructures such as GaAs(AlGaAs) nanowires with GaAsSb (GaAs) quantum dots, and GaAs based nanowire core-shell structures. These nanostructures have potential applications in future nanoscale optoelectronic devices such as nanowire lasers, single photon emitters, and nanowire based solar cells.
