Nils Holte was born in Norway in 1946. He
received his Siv.Ing. and Dr.Ing. degrees in 1971 and 1976
respectively, both from the Norwegian Institute of Technology NTH. He
has held various positions at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering
and Computer Science at the Norwegian Institute of Technology NTH,
since 1983 as a full professor of Telecommunications. In 1978 he was
at A/S Elektrisk Bureau, Oslo, and he spent the academic year 1988/89
as a visiting research fellow in the Department of System Engineering at The
Australian National University, Canberra. His main research interests
are digital communications and adaptive filters. Dr. Holte is a member of
IEEE, NORSIG and the Norwegian Academy of Technical Sciences.
