               PhD Dissertation:

The main topic of investigation is cooperative and opportunistic transmission in multi-user access systems. Issues to study in this area include, cooperative multi-user scheduling and related issues in relaying  and routing;  resource allocation principles; joint coding and interference principles. The overall goal is efficient radio resource allocation and exploitation in wireless short range sensor networks under various QoS constraints, including demand on accepted maximum latency, minimum rate, maximum BER, maximum outage probability, minimum battery life time and fairness demands over various time horizons.

              Master Thesis:

“Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) Scheme for Interleave-Division Multiple-Access (IDMA)”

IDMA is a proposal for 4G wireless systems. (H)ARQ schemes are used to ensure reliable data transmission on the logical link control layer. Different HARQ schemes have been applied on IDMA with the special feature of soft combining and reliability base retransmission criterion (cross layer design).
