The Winter School on Coding and Information Theory 2009 will take place at Hotel Alexandra in Loen right in Norway's spectacular fjordlands and next to the famous Jostedal glacier from March 29 until April 3. Organized by the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications of NTNU, the biennial IEEE Information Theory Society winter school continues its tradition to provide opportunities for graduate students to meet and get advise from famous professors in their areas.

The objective of this winter school is to motivate the participation of a braod mix of students, from different universities, and to discuss their problems with famous professors in their field.
