Torbjørn Svendsen is
professor of speech processing at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications.
My current projects are SIRKUS, which investigates novel, knowledge rich approaches to speech recognition, SMUDI which aims at developing voice based aids for groups of disabled, VOCALS, which
investigates voice centric interfaces, FONEMA which
investigates text-to-speech synthesis, and Rundkast, a data collection
project for broadcast news.
Some former projects are SPODIS (Spoken
Dialogue Systems for Telephone Services) and TABOR (Spoken user
interfaces and reasoning systems).
